RIC Featured in Worldwide Media Story about Vietnamese Boy

Phung Thien Nhan works with RIC therapist Theresa Clancy and his mother, Tran Mai Anh, to learn to walk with his new prosthetic leg

RIC’s innovative pediatric care was featured in the worldwide media coverage of a two-year-old male patient from Vietnam, Phung Thien Nhan, who was left in the jungle to die and, subsequently, was mauled by wild animals before monks saved him and nursed him back to health. Two Vietnamese journalists adopted him and raised funds through international children's charities to bring him to the U.S. for the "best rehabilitation care available."

RIC is providing the boy with an updated prosthetic leg as well as several therapy appointments over several days to help him regain the ability to walk, run and play like an average toddler.
