Miss Vietnam helps an abandoned child

Miss Phuong Thuy in the photo book Women and Classical Drama’. Nhan Dan Online- Miss Vietnam Mai Phuong Thuy will take all proceeds from selling her photo book ‘Phu Nu va Tuong’ (Women and Classical Drama) and DVD Hoa Dong Noi (Countryside Flower) to help abandoned child Thien Nhan. She will make her plea on August 6 afternoon during an on-line discussion with readers of the The Thao & Van Hoa (Sport and Culture) newspaper at the website www.thethaovanhoa.vn Miss Thuy recently read an article in the newspaper about the little child called Ho Thien Nhan who was abandoned by his mother in a garden after birth in 2006. He was then attacked by the ants and wild animals who ate his right leg, testicles and penis. He has since been adopted by a young couple in Hanoi named Tran Mai Anh and Phung Quang Nghinh who now need money to pay for his surgery on August 15 at Dartmouth Hospital in New Hampshhire, the US. Interested readers can visit The Thao & Van Hoa office at 33 Le Thanh Tong Street tomorrow afternoon from 4-5pm to buy the book and DVD. The event also sums up the two years Thuy has worn the Miss Vietnam title.
